Our distributor, United Welding Supplies, approached us with a project for Adanac Valve Specialities in Suffolk, manufacturers of non-standard and specialist valve types.
As part of a project to fit a new, purpose built facility, we were assigned with the task of designing a system that allowed overhead movement of cranes for the purpose of lifting heavy machinery into the bays. With this in mind, a standard overhead tracking system at the fronts for welding curtain to hang from was not possible.
We suggested a retractable cable reel solution, allowing each front curtain of the system to be easily retracted when required, keeping the overhead area free for access.
Contact us about baysWe installed heavy duty upright stanchions at the fronts of each bay, powder coated in a custom RAL colour. Each stanchion was fitted with a Tusker retractable cable reel.
The cable reels allow a retraction of up to 8 metres and are designed for hanging welding curtains, PVC strip curtains or other curtains and enable areas to be opened up when not in use. When not in use, the curtains are suspended from a pivoting arm, which rotates through 180º. The cables were fitted with our TWG1 Tusker Weld-Green welding curtain.
