Bailey Morris – Custom Welding Bay with Folding Partition Screen

Bailey Morris Limited manufacture, repair and modify propshafts for specialist requirements, such as vintage, classic and kit car applications, power take off shafts and engine test applications  This is alongside their core business of propshafts for LCV, HV, PSV and off highway construction vehicles.

Our distributor, Wasp Supplies, approached us to design a welding bay to house two large welding machines whilst also protecting workers in all areas outside the bay.

Our design team created a solution that would fit within the current infrastructure of the facility and included a central screen to create two separate sections, in order to partition and section off the two large automated welding machines.

The central screen was designed to ensure no cross-transfer of spark between the two machines.  The central screen was constructed with a concertina-panel design and featured castors, to enable the screen to be easily stored when not in use.

Bailey Morris said about our solution:

“I have to say that it was a pleasure dealing with a knowledgeable company.  Everything ran superbly from the moment of contact to discuss our requirements.  Design carried out, competitive quote given, order placed, final tweaks completed. Parts delivered. Installation day – Tony & Paul arrived to install, quick discussion, then on with the installation.  Really good guys, installation complete over 2 days. Extremely happy with the installation. Looks good. Really does the job and the HSE are happy too.”
