Bay system with retractable section

46 METRE SPAN WELDING BAY SYSTEM WITH BESPOKE RETRACTABLE SECTION

Based in Ashford, Kent, Sunray Doors (an ASSA ABLOY Group Company) design and manufacture high specification steel security doors to protect commercial and industrial premises throughout the UK.   They approached us to fit a further system in their facility, following an initial installation earlier this year.

This time, there was a requirement for a specially designed retractable section.  This was needed to allow crane access to one section of the facility.

The double-track sliding system is ceiling suspended and spans a total of 46 metres.

The specially designed retractable section, fixed to a heavy duty stanchion, and fitted with castors, was designed to be folded back easily, allowing access for a crane to a specific area of the facility.

SOLUTION

Fully bespoke designed retractable section, fixed to a heavy duty floor mounted stanchion, on castors.  Tusker double track system, with Tusker HIV3 Hi-vis amber welding curtain (conforms to EN25980/2023).  Installation by the dedicated Tusker install team.
