Redcar and Cleveland College
Redcar and Cleveland College has this year, been delivering a project to enhance the college’s existing facilities with the construction of a £4.7m All Access Academy led by NETA Training. Tusker were approached by Britcon, a leading Civil Engineering, Building and Steelwork solutions contractor, to design the welding bay system within the academy.
We were asked to design a 12 bay system to feature sonic, sound absorbing walls and sliding doors.

Project details
Installation of 12 Sonic Welding Booths
- Modular elements mounted with adjustable feet to the floor.
- Booths positioned against the existing back wall and sidewalls.
- Each booth’s front consists of two sliding welding strip segments in a double rail system.
- Installation of fixed strips between the booths.
- One section to have portable welding screens.
- Installed by our dedicated installation team
