PU28 Fire Barriers
Highly flexible and versatile, our PU28 Fire Barriers are the perfect alternative to traditional fire boards and barrier products.
This form of fire barrier is made from a glass fabric with a high-temperature treated PU coating that’s treated with a flame retardant polymer. The polymer is treated with vermiculite and mineral salts to aid performance and the PU coating helps to suppress dust and irritants – making them easier to install than traditional options.
PU28 is suitable for use in a wide range of construction projects, including commercial and residential building developments. In addition, it can be used for smaller-scale projects, such as loft conversions, roof thatching and the building of partition walls. You can staple our PU28 Fire Barriers over or under joists in ceilings, on floors or in cavities.
Designed to deliver passive fire protection, Tusker’s PU28 Fire Barriers are tested to BS476: Part 20 standards and offer a 90-minute fire rating.
